  4. Race- breast cancer is more common in white and African-American women.
  5. Dense Breasts– dense breast tissue can be a risk factor for breast cancer
  6. Family History- women, whose close family member has had breast cancer, are more likely to get the disease.
  7. Reproductive History- If your periods started before the age of 12 or your menopause set in after 55, you are more likely to get breast cancer.

Signs and Symptoms of Breast Cancer

Breast cancer symptoms include:

  1. Lump on the Breast
  2. Discharge From the Nipple
  3. Swelling and Soreness
  4. Swelling in the Underarm
  5. Changes to the Skin – Such as redness, swelling, dimpling, as well as peeling, flakiness, and crustiness in and around the breast

  3. Being physically active.
