Lance Martin is an Australian business man located in NSW. Over the last 20 years he’s been involved in both the Telecommunications and Travel Industries in marketing and sales for a number of clients such as Optus, Telstra, AAPT, People Telecom, APVC, Trendwest, and others.

During the early late 90’s and early 2000’s Lance owned and operated a national network of reseller dealerships for major Telco’s, specialising in SME’s in the then vibrant deregulated market and mobile revolution, starting his Telco journey as an Optus dealer and accredited trainer.

He transported those skills to sales and marketing for Accor and Trendwest; his introduction to the Travel Industry and the Holiday Ownership vertical.

Identifying an opportunity with emerging technologies, he built a large online travel application supplying a network of retailers with travel products just as online travel began to explode, achieving top a 20-travel site ranking according to Hitwise in 2008.

Lance’s skills are communication as a speaker, trainer, writer and tech entrepreneur. In his early days Lance was a would-be journalist at Fairfax Media before the advent of word processors and at the end of the “hot-metal’ print era. Starting as a copy-boy he worked his way to the not-so-illustrious but highly educational position of ‘cadet court reporter’while undertaking a communications degree at Macquarie University.

Lance Martin is passionate advocate of post-enlightenment values, science, critical thinking and education for children in underprivileged countries. He’s a supporter and contributor to a number of charities, NGO’s and NFP’s that work to support families and kids through education in South Asia and Africa. He is a regular contributor and writer for a number of blogs and publications, including his own.
