Exams are a dreadful experience for someone who has not prepared well enough. Students tend to slop around and procrastinate to the deadline. This carefree attitude makes it difficult for them to cope with the needs of the degree that they pursue. Students are naturally carefree beings, as this mentality is seen all over the world. Children tend to avoid homework and other tasks because they are uninterested, but this trend has improved over time. I remember that I would never like going to school and always wished that I could skip it.

That was not something that I could do back then, but today with the use of the web, anyone can take my online class for me. The need for online courses and classes arose as a result of the covid-19 virus. The educational institutions ceased their teaching in the mid of March. The world went into a phase of complete lockdown for months. It affected everything about life from work to education. Both the things shifted to online platforms in these situations.

ONLINE LEARNING AND ITS EFFECTS:

Online software programs such as Zoom and Google Classrooms are a tool to teach students in the virtual classroom. This method became flexible, easy, and cheap for students. It saved them from needing to travel from their homes to the institute and take classes. Online classes become widely popular in the lockdown period. Prestigious institutes such as Harvard and Preston started online sessions. It allowed students from all over the world to access these classes and learn. The students only required a digital gadget and internet connection to be a part of these classes.

PERKS AND DRAWBACK OF THESE CLASSES:

Online classes acted as a two-sided sword with merits and demerits for the users. The perks of studying online sessions were the classes being accessible from any corner of the world. The courses are flexible, and the student can take them as per his need. There is no need to spend money on travel, hoteling, Study material, and much more. The approach proved to be revolutionary as students from all over the world could join a class and study together.

This approach helped students blur the difference between borders and experiential learning. The online classes are mostly free, but websites like Udemy also provide paid courses. It makes learning for students easy and accessible.

However, there are other reasons why online classes are not as helpful as we may think of them to be. Online sessions are not as user friendly as we may believe them to be. Students do not have the required technical facilities around the world. 45% of the people in the U.S do not have quality internet with them. The numbers are much higher for students who live in third world countries. Thus, online learning is not suitable globally.

Students face trouble in classes because of technical issues like distortion and disturbance. Institutes have opted for recorded lectures to tackle this problem, but it needs unavailable quality internet. There is no real communication between the teacher and student that adds fuel to the fire.

HOW ONLINE LEARNING IS COMPROMISING QUALITY:

The syllabus that we have is for physical learning, and there are huge differences between learning online and physically. Teachers are having trouble adjusting the physical methods and policies for online classes. The process has been a satisfying learning experience for students and teachers. Students learned how to adapt to the new way, while the teachers improved their technical capabilities. It causes a lot of time to go to waste.

Perhaps the biggest problem with online classes is monitoring. The quality of monitoring in online sessions is low, although the software is providing digital in vigilance.

It allows teachers to view the work of the students and ensure fairness. Students have managed to find loopholes in this. 85% of the students have admitted to cheating in online exams during a survey while the actual number is higher.

IS CHEATING ONLINE A MORAL PROBLEM?

High cheating rates in online exams have brought a new debate for people. People are arguing whether cheating is a threat to education and other students or not? It is a simple issue, and you can explain it on moral grounds. Cheating during exams is ethically wrong irrespective of the means to do so.

Students need to realize that the purpose of exams is to evaluate their learning and understanding. They have linked this to acquiring good grades. We agree that test scores are an essential part of academics but are not everything. Students go for unfair means of getting good grades. These methods include everything from online exam help to utilizing material from the web.

It has given birth to a new problem for the educational system because cheating is on the rampage. Some teachers are concerned about this problem and want to ensure fair tests, but we do not need it.

WHY CHEATING IS NOT A PROBLEM:

Before you bombard us with your reasoning, make sure that you read through this article. We wish to present a new view on the topic. We have all know exam cheating is a bad thing, but it has its positive side too.

Harvard University held its meeting regarding the problem of cheating. Professionals from all over the world attended this meeting. The experts presented the fact that over 84% of the population are a part of exam cheating. Learning online can be stressful, and it is not very helpful. Stressing over students’ methods is absurd. There is a different way to look at the scenario: cheating is all about cooperating with the class fellows. You can consider the same activity as a plus point in an office environment.

Asking around:

The most common method of cheating is asking around for paper from class fellows. It is a noticeable crime and academics disapprove of it in educational institutes. However, we consider that networking plus point if a person knows who to reach out to get the task done.

The example of young inventors selling their work to big companies like Yahoo is well known. The child would not be able to get his startup working or sell it to Yahoo without the right network.

Collaborating:

The newer generation is well acquainted with collaborating. These people tend to share information with others instead of trying to acquire all the knowledge for themselves. Collaborating with others makes it easier for people to split the workload. It increases the efficiency of people and makes it easier for them to get the task done.

Technology is your friend:

You cannot use technology during sessions as it is called cheating. However, newer institutes are allowing students to use gadgets during an exam because they are developing learning tools. The Internet helps students to develop good problem skills.

Students can extract the required material from a hoard of information in a few minutes. It proves to be a useful professional skill in the future.

Conclusion:

With all this said, we can easily say that cheating during exams is also a learning opportunity for students if they utilize it correctly. Teachers should be lenient on the ways that students select to solve their exams. It will also help students to take my online class for me.
